The brief for this project was to create a packaging concept for a whisky brand (Old Pulteney) that conveys a story.

Using the poem Caithness by George Gunn (a Caithness poet), I created a typographic packaging design that uses the shapes of the handwriting to mimic the waves of the sea. The poem is a beautiful dedication to the area the whisky distillery resides and I presented it as if it was a handwritten note of adoration to Caithness.

I felt this was the best way to acknowledge the natural life that surrounds and powers the distillery, and its community.
